Spring Equinox-Golf Goals

Happy Spring Golfers,
Today I would like to ask you the question "What excites you about the game of golf?"
Have you thought about writing this down in the form of goals? Goals are a great practice to jump start your passion for the upcoming season, and they help keep the flame burning bright throughout. Otherwise golf, like the game of life, can have you drifting aimlessly along and then frustration, complacency and god-forbid disinterest can set in, if you have no self-direction.

David Swartz book "The magic of thinking Big" tells us
"There is magic in setting and writing down goals. It sets up into motion a powerful psychological, spiritual and emotional force. We become aware of the things we need to do, to achieve and accomplish them. Things come to us, things begin to happen. We tap into our powerful subconscious mind. Surrender to desire and gain energy, enthusiasm, mental zip and even better health. Energy increases, multiplies, when you set a desired goal and resolve to work toward that goal."

Vision Boards-

A very powerful tool is to make vision boards; I have used this one practice very successfully over the years. It is such fun, because you don't have to figure out how your goals will arrive, you live in the feminine the Great Mystery and opportunities just arise, that is the exciting part. Many times the direction to follow will just occur out -of -the Blue, but it is really your subconscious going to work on your desires. How? Eyes can pick up 1,000 pictures an hour; you become what you look at. The vision board is like a mirror imaging back to you, your desires. Now they may not happen all in the first year but you will be surprised at how many do come your way. But remember you must take the action to act upon the signs when they are delivered to you.
If you are a big thinker and you want to play on the tour someday. Then cut out pictures of the courses you want to play at. Cut out pictures of Tiger and get a golf picture of you and put it beside him or any other touring Pro.
Place the board where you will see it daily, do not cling or grasp with your mind by being impatient. Just go about your day and in an easy and effortless way you will have put in place the Law of Attraction.

How to Play a Gratitude Golf Game

To play the gratitude game

1. Imagine approaching your playing partners and saying “I would like your help to play a grateful golf game the first day of spring and for all of us to focus on what we are grateful for while playing the round.”

2. Your gratefulness can begin at home, by contemplating on what you like about your golf equipment. Then at the course, what do you like about the clubhouse, the course, what do you like about your playing partners. Look for the good and you will see it reflected back.

3. A great way to begin your day on the golf course is to bow to Mother Earth. This way we humble ourselves before her to teach us the lessons for the day. This is a similar act in Martial Arts the opponents use they bow to each other before they begin. Although we don’t view the golf course as an opponent, but as our teacher and playing guide. We can use a yoga move called the Yoga Mudra pose to set the intention of the day. To others it just looks like a pre-game stretch but it is the beginning of sacred play. We bow forward and silently say Thank you to Mother Earth for the opportunity to play upon her.

4. Think about how children learn, by playing games, this does not stop ever, but we view ourselves as adults and we need to be serious, let that go for one day. Take Golf seriously, but yourself lightly. Golfers are very lucky to continue to learn by playing. Golf, just like life, is filled with paradoxes and a lot of the time we only need to change our perception to be happier and more grateful.

For instance instead of viewing the sand and water as obstacles this day. Another way to view them is an opportunity to play better golf. If you land in the sand, you can say “I am grateful for the opportunity to practice with my wedge.”

5. The breaking down of negative habits will not be accomplished with one game, so please be gentle with yourself if they do come up.

As a reminder to yourself, know that the willingness to play a gratitude game is more important then the overall outcome. When we are grateful, we prove to ourselves we are FULL OF GREATNESS, and you are one step closer to becoming your own encouraging coach.

If the weather, work or some other reason prevents a day of playing or go to the Driving Range- Make an imaginary golf game Gratitude list. And reread it before you play your first game of the season.

Spring Equinox 2009 -Gratitude Golf Games

This is a call for all golfers to unite one day to raise the earth’s vibrations by playing a day of golf in gratitude. The changing of the seasons, known as equinoxes and solstices’ are the most powerful energy times throughout any year. This year, the first day of spring falls on Friday, March 20th, 2009, but many ceremonies are still held March 21st so either day is appropriate to play this game. Although not everyone in the world can golf this on day, they can still play the Gratitude game. This inner call to play a gratitude game goes out for each Spring Equinox leading up to the year 2012.

Why? The more we begin to send thoughts of Love and Gratitude to the golf courses and driving ranges, the more we are doing our part in healing this planet.

Golf Courses need healing because many of these areas upon Mother Earth are places that are covered with heavy dense energy. They have been areas that are allowed to be dumping grounds of golfer’s negative thoughts and energy. The earth has absorbed years and years of anger and frustration from golfers. Just imagine how much gratitude games will help lift the heavy energy that surrounds most golf courses this raised energy will effect everyone consciously and unconsciously.

Think about the difference when playing in your home town in comparisons to going away on golf retreats. There is a different energy, gratitude is already naturally at the core of your playing, even if you are not aware of it, and the golf appears to be more fun, easy and relaxed.

Gratefulness brings us more to our hearts and out of our heads and the good feelings actually help us play better. Notice as you practice

Your appreciation throughout the game if the energy changes like happier feelings, and conversation, more relaxed body language, balls start finding the holes in amazing ways for you to be more grateful for.

March International Women's Month- Free Gift

Women golfing

Did anyone celebrate women or themselves March 8th ? Did you know it was International Women’s Day? Women have had March 8th dedicated to them since 1996. I wasn’t aware of this fact until a few years back. Check out the website for this years theme and how it is celebrated all month long.http://www.internationalwomensday.com

Today, began with me giving a gift to my Facebook Group “How to Become a Golf Goddess” -Discover a Sacred way to play and now I am extending the gift to all my media sources. The gift is based on my own personal IWD Theme.

Theme -Discover how 2009 can be sublime while connected to the Divine.

My Gift for all you wonderful Women-May these creative visualizations help you as a beginning step to fully becoming the Co-Creators that you truly are! I share a CD I created that is now on Mp3 and was the bases for my Transformation into living in the Divine Magic of Mother Earth I will be sharing the Amazing Journey throughout March.

You will find at my website-
http://www.golfinggoddesses.com/about.html On the page,Just scroll down until you see the C.D cover Meditation Steps to your Hearts Desire and then click on numbers 1 to 4 or the title. This CD was created in 2002 a few months after I used the principles to open my Yoga Studio…I used and still use each of these recordings since that time to live, work, and play in the Flow of the Laws of Attraction and the Path of Least Resistance. All four tracks are wonderful although I would like to particularly like to draw your attention to track number two,Releasing Blocks is the original title- It is a timeless creative visualization that addresses Fear. I have learned we have many degrees of Fear at different times in our lives. At the moment the collective consciousness is going through the fear of transformation. As someone who has walked through the darkness and fear many times I am here to share that it is an Amazing Journey and there is Bliss in the light At the end of the tunnel.

*****Transformation-******** The great loneliness - like the loneliness a caterpillar endures when she wraps herself in a silky shroud and begins the long transformation from chrysalis to butterfly. It seems that we too must go through such a time, when life as we have known it is over - when being a caterpillar feels somehow false and yet we don’t know who we are supposed to become. All we know is that something bigger is calling us to change. And though we must make the journey alone, and even if suffering is our only companion, soon enough we will become a butterfly, soon enough we will taste the rapture of being alive.”

The Circle common theme in Golf and Book

A common theme running throughout the upcoming Spiritual Golf Goddess book and the game of golf is the symbol of the circle. Learning the wisdom inherent in the circle can become a key to unlock the inner hero. In the coming years women will need to draw upon their own inner strength and courage to free themselves from society’s man-made laws and to turn back towards the lessons in nature and the natural rhythms and cycles that are within us and everything. Many women fail to recognize and acknowledge these cycles because of the linear time-line we are conditioned to live by and to a great extent we have suffered because of this.
There is a way to move away from the pain of separateness and reconnect back to viewing the earth and our bodies as hallowed ground. This can happen through learning powerful Yoga philosophies and poses(asanas), ancient Feminine mysteries (secrets) and creative play that reconnects you to your self, spirit and nature.
The Circle-
For centuries women of many cultures have met on the half, new, and full moon. In this way they could support each other in deepening their understanding of themselves, others, the Gods, the Goddesses and the cycles of the Earth. Some gathered in temples, ruins, churches, teepees, yurts, tents and others created sacred circles in nature to honor the changing of the seasons with the equinox’s, solstices and cross quarter celebrations. When we connect with nature and are truly present with it, we find ourselves again, and recognize the teachings that we are interconnected with all life on this planet.
The circle or orb is an ancient shape that provides human-kind with a sense of completion. It denotes sacred space; it represents cycles – women’s cycles, the cycle of life, the cycle of change, the cycle of creativity, the cycle of the golf course. The golf ball is an orb, just like the earth, Venus, Mars and the stars. It is the center of the game.
Women are more tuned into cycles and circular formats. We live by our cycles, we speak in circular formats, and we spiral outward with our energy, and spiral back into our bodies with each monthly cycle. Our bodies are vessels made up of circles. This is why we are so tuned in to emotional cycles, nature’s cycle, the cycles of the moon, fire, water and spirit, from which we are inspired to create.
The Golf Course is a cycle. And with its many qualities and challenges it stimulates us to move through it, facing the challenges, learning its course and increasing our skills and abilities. Each challenge is viewed as a teacher; we will never come to an end of the line and say “I’ve got the lesson” be it patience, persistence, positive thinking. No, we don’t travel in a straight line of progress, the lessons come back to be learned at a deeper and deeper level revealing the hero in us.
A Golf Goddess challenges herself on the course. She understands that each hole represents an aspect of the overall cycle she has entered into. Unlike the traditional
male model of golf which is linear, competitive and encourages one to “dominate”, the female model of golf is circular, co-operative and encouraging one to “grow” and strengthen their power within, not their power over.
We grow into Golfing Goddesses by looking within, by looking at nature with new eyes, by seeing our sisters as mirrors of our feminine self and by using our imaginations. We carry the female vibration and the male vibration inside all of us, the wonderful part is when we are consciously choosing which vibe to bring forth at different times and for different situations, we grow to full maturity. I am asking you to bring forth the female vibe while playing. Look at the successful men who call upon their female vibe to create success in golf. Tiger Woods and Vijah Sing, both have roots in the feminine vibe traditions of Asia and India. Once we can let go of control, the ego & masculine way and be open and willing to ‘go with the flow’ the female vibe, a different rhythm of energy unfolds and guides us, the fun will be in all the adventures along the way.
